Pilea: The Friendship Plant

also known as the Chinese money plant, pilea is a lovely little plant that is easy to propagate (and share with friends).

pilea are non-toxic to animals. they are easy to maintain and come in a variety of textures.

i have a pilea that has a corkscrew stem because i regularly turn it (the leaves love bright indirect sunlight and will reach out to it) so it spirals.
